Eyewitness News-Providence Journal Gubernatorial Debate

One week before Rhode Island voters choose the state's next governor, the four main candidates face off in another Eyewitness News-The Providence Journal televised debate on WPRI-12 and WPRI.com. Moderate Party Chair Ken Block, General Treasurer Frank Caprio, former US Senator Lincoln Chafee, and former Carcieri aide John Robitaille will debate on a variety of issues.

The debate is Tuesday, Oct. 26, starting at 7 p.m. at the Providence Performing Arts Center. It begins at 7 with an hour-long debate on WPRI-12 and WPRI.com, and continues on WPRI.com starting at 8 with additional questions submitted by Eyewitness News viewers and Providence Journal readers.

The debate will be hosted by Eyewitness News anchor Mike Montecalvo and moderated by Target 12 Investigator and "Newsmakers" host Tim White. They will be joined by Edward Fitzpatrick, political columnist for The Providence Journal, and Edward Achorn, deputy editorial pages editor for The Providence Journal.
