EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — This week on Newsmakers: Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts.
Roberts has been tasked by Governor Chafee with implementing President Obama's landmark health care law in Rhode Island, notably by creating the new health insurance marketplace - or exchange - where residents will buy benefits starting in 2014. The second-term Democrat discusses other challenges facing the state's health care sector and weighs in on a host of issues, including her own political future and the pension overhaul.
