GOP to Obama: Help pass jobs bills

WASHINGTON (AP) — House GOP leaders say the latest unemployment numbers show it's time for the Democratic-led Senate to begin approving jobs-related bills that the Republican-run House has passed.

The government reported Friday that unemployment rate in October fell to 9 percent from 9.1 percent in September, and that the economy added 80,000 jobs.

House Speaker John Boehner wants President Barack Obama to press the Senate to act.

The Ohio Republican says it's "unacceptable for the White House to be anything less than 100 percent engaged in the legislative process."
