Blue Cross CEO: HealthSource RI enrollment ‘disappointing’

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Enrollment in private health insurance plans through the state’s new HealthSource RI marketplace hasn’t met early expectations as federal-level havoc caused confusion, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island CEO Peter Andruszkiewicz said Thursday.

“We definitely have fewer people than we anticipated at this point,” Andruszkiewicz said during a taping of myRITV’s Executive Suite. “There’s no question about it … and that’s disappointing.”
