NARRAGANSETT R.I. (WPRI) -- A big election, with consequences on both the national and local levels, is less than a week away. With many towns still reeling from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, polling places may be in flux.
Even though utility crews have been working around the clock to restore power, thousands of residents still remain in the dark.
Updated Power Outage InformationWe've learned that Narragansett town officials have already moved Precinct 1 voting from the North Beach Clubhouse to the community center.
The Board of Elections tells us that the change in Narragansett is the only one they know about so far. Although, if a lack of electricity is still an issue come next Tuesday, others may be forced to seek new housing.
