Newsmakers 10/21: Fox v. Binder debate

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers: a House District 4 candidates debate between incumbent Speaker Gordon Fox and independent challenger Mark Binder.

Fox, a lawyer who was first elected to the Rhode Island House in 1992 and ascended to the top job in 2010, defends his record by citing achievements on pensions, education, taxes and civil unions. Binder, an author who challenged former Congressman Patrick Kennedy in 2004, criticizes the speaker's record as a state leader.
