Newsmakers 7/20: Peter Marino, GA races

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — This week on the first half of Newsmakers: Peter Marino, director of Rhode Island's new Office of Management and Budget. As head of a new agency charged with overseeing the state budget and management of the different state departments, Marino has been tasked with identifying efficiencies in government and reducing the budget deficit. He says two agencies that will be examined closely are the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority and the Department of Environmental Management.

In the second half, Eyewitness News political analyst Joe Fleming joins the panel on the second half to talk about key state legislative races for 2012, including three key Democratic primaries to watch, as well as the 1st Congressional District race.
