Newsmakers 5/18: Cook's Jennifer Duffy

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — This week on Newsmakers: Jennifer Duffy of the Cook Political Report and WPRI 12 political analyst Joe Fleming.

Duffy, a Rhode Island native, is a nationally recognized expert on politics who returned to the state this week to receive an honorary degree from Rhode Island College. She and Fleming break down the exclusive new WPRI 12 poll on the 1st Congressional District's Democratic primary between David Cicilline and Anthony Gemma and discuss what each candidate needs to do next. Duffy also discusses U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse's prospects for winning in November, the presidential race, and the growing partisanship in Congress reflected in Indiana U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar's recent primary loss.
