Rep. Jim Langevin, represents Rhode Island's Second Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Langevin, who is serving his sixth term in the House, first ran for public office in 1986 when he was elected as secretary of the Constitutional Convention. He was elected to the state House of Representatives in 1988 and the state Secretary of State in 1994. In Congress, Langevin serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Committee on the Budget. He lives in Warwick.
